This is a photo of some of our art group who today met in our garden and field to sketch some of the views. It wasn't exactly the balmy early summer's evening that we had anticipated when it was planned, but it was fun nonetheless. You can see our teacher Fiona standing up (glass of wine in hand) pointing out the sun which was setting behind some clouds. The rest of the group are behind Fiona at the top of the garden.
The animals behaved well, mostly ignoring us but at one point - typically, before I had my camera (grrrrr) I looked round and saw Carole busily sketching away with Joey boy standing right behind her and looking over her shoulder.
I really feel that I must apologise for my continued lack of commenting. I am so short of time at the moment, not least because we are opening our garden to the public in a couple of weeks and it currently looks like Steptoe's Yard. I am trying to get a few important indoor jobs done before tackling it. Hopefully when it is all over I will be able to devote a bit more time to 365.
Jan, great shot I must admit I may have paid more attention to my teachers if they stood with wine glass in hand. Love the picture and words starts my day of with a smile.
This is a great scene Jan...love that we can see the view you look at every day in your busy life.
A teacher with a glass of wine in her hand (given by you no doubt) is the right sort of teacher. Sounds a fun class, hope the wind blowing the paper wasn't a problem!!
Flipping eck I'd get vertigo in your garden & Nigel would be in constant trauma - he can't do cliff edges ;0). I need to try more alcohol with my artwork...
My, such a lush green view you have. :-)
Such a cryin' shame that you didn't have your camera to capture Joey Boy supervising the sketching. That must have been a hoot.
