One of my old university friends who was staying over the weekend. Fliss lives in Kyoto, Japan, and teaches English language to students at a couple of universities, so we don't get to see each other very often.
For once, it wasn't me driving everybody mad with my photo taking, everything we did or cooked or ate was accompanied by Fliss saying 'Oh, I'll just take a photo.' She likes to show them to her students so they can see what English life is like. So part of a generation of young Japanese people are going to go through life thinking that every English household has donkeys, eats faggots (a meal out in a pub) and cuddles piglets on a regular basis.
Sam made Fliss some Sushi. (Coals to Newcastle???) Interestingly, she said that she rarely eats it these days in Japan because of the concerns about radioactivity leaking into the oceans.
I know Ayla, I think I asked you if you knew her when I first started to follow you because you mentioned Cecil Sharpe House in one of your posts and she used to work there, but even before I asked I just had a feeling you might know her because of your similar interests. She is one of my best friends from university.
