bumblebee revival

I found this bumblebee exhausted and covered in cobwebs in our kitchen this morning. Can't imagine where the cobwebs came from....not my kitchen, surely!

I got as much cobweb as possible off him and put him down on the path outside. He didn't appear to have the energy to move, so I gave him a teaspoon full of honey which was mixed with water. He spent ages drinking it which is what he is doing in this shot, had a bit of a rest and then flew off - a lovely feeling.

Poor bumble! They do get caught in spiderwebs and because of their very small wings, can't get out! He actually looks rather ugly here! Great focus!
