On Tuesday evening six of us from our art class went out on the canal on one of our classmate's narrow boats. It was a perfect evening for it and we spent time taking photos and sketching for use in class over the coming weeks. I was trying to explain to one of my classmates about HDR photography and have just posted a short explanation and examples of the original bracketed photos and a couple of examples of different amounts of HDR on the same image on our class's FB page. This is the example I used for an extreme case of 'HDRitis.'
@shepherdmanswife thanks. What I did was not actually a 'how to' guide but a very basic non-technical 'what is HDR?' So not really sure how much use it would be, but you can see the three photos that were combined to make this one. It is an open group and the link is (hope it works!): https://www.facebook.com/groups/horntonartclub/
I don't think it's overdone either - and I've certainly seen some of those on this site. Am just getting into this myself, and enjoying playing around with the various sliders! Fav for me too, btw.
