end of the longest day by jantan

end of the longest day

I set off early to collect Sam from his friend's house and took a few photos on the way.

Angus an Graham got back from their university visits in Leeds and Sheffield having had the last day and a half at the cricket at Headingley. Not only were they staying in the same hotel as the Sri Lankan team, but were sitting in the seat next to Roy Hattersley - who is a bit of a hero of ours. He was disgusted to have had his wine confiscated on the way into the ground apparently.

It was such a shame to see the ground so empty on what should have been a perfect cricketing day. Hardly surprising 'tho seeing as the tickets are so ridiculously expensive, as is everything you might want to buy when you were in there. All drinks are confiscated on the way into the ground forcing you to buy the overpriced ones on sale there, so it looks like Roy Hattersley wasn't alone.
Splendid pastoral scene. I love the depth of field. Super fav!

Beautiful shot. I live in paradise, but I do love the English countryside. Lucky you, living in the Cotswolds.
