... well, about half an inch tall to be more precise.
I spotted this little toadstool growing in a small piece of dead plant stalk yesterday when I was out with the dogs. I picked it up and spent the rest of the walk trying to convince George (labradoodle) that it wasn't a stick that I was going to throw for him.
It was quite a grim day today weather-wise, in fact, Pepper (cockapoo) refused to leave the house for a walk which he does very occasionally. George didn't say no, and then went on to thrill and amaze me by not rubbing himself all over in the mud for once...hooray - no cold hosepipe treatment for once!
I finally managed to submit the VAT return by using a different bridging software, so that was a relief...... until I realised that I had made a big mistake on the past two returns resulting in us making significant overpayments, so I haven't escaped that dreaded call to HMRC after all. Oh well......
I made toad in the hole for Sam and Graham for dinner. None for me because I am dieting...booooo! For a change, rather than using sausages, I made sausagemeat balls made with added onion and sage. It went down very well, so I will have to do that one again.
Oh yes..... great excitement in the household, we have a new pet...... Graham's new sourdough starter. I think another dog would require less care and attention 🙄
Top tip - I have some sausage meat to use up - except we’re both supposed to be dieting - I’ll have to wait until the ‘young thin people’ visit. This photo is really rather magical - there should be a little elf sitting nearby.
Your commentary made me smile - especially about the new pet!
