Miss Holly by jesika2

Miss Holly

A very friendly female Holly Blue, a ridiculously diminutive butterfly which posed happily and patiently for about 30 minutes today.
Slight crop otherwise SOOC

For some reason I hardly ever see these round here. How lovely to have a willing and cooperative subject! Love those antennae.

Thank you all very much. I'm not sure how it happened with only 12 views & 6 comments but somehow you made it a trendy & popular Miss Holly. Many thanks

@jesika2 I love your insect pictures! I want to get a macro lens so I can take really close up pictures of insects and flowers, but I can't afford it until I save up my pennies!

@emma78 Thank you for appreciating my insect photos. I constantly try to escape macro, but happily fail. I don't know what lens you use, but if it's a 18-55 (or similar) kit lens, why not treat yourself to an inexpensive reversing ring & try shooting with the lens back to front? I have some photos in March & April when I was using an old Canon & reversed lens. It's fun - but frustrating. Look on line for information.
