Home After the Big Storm

This is my first attempt at a HDR shot. I had walked up our driveway to see what the big equipment was doing to repair the big washout (that may be tomorrow's photo) and was walking back home in the delightful sunlight (one day of sun between storms) and was taken in by the beauty of where I live. Yes, that is the ocean in the background. Best viewed large. Please all suggestions are welcome. Thanks for the comments and suggestions on yesterday's photo.
Beautiful.

Wow what a lovely spot you live in. Not sure I could tell this was HDR so what ever you did it was subtle. Great pic.

Yes, a beautiful spot indeed. I also like that it's not in-your-face HDR, but it has the good qualities of bringing out the different levels. Very nice!

I wouldn't have known it was HDR either, but what a beautiful spot! Can you see the ocean from inside the house?

Beautiful, worth look at large for all the details.

@dawnirwin Absolutely. I have no idea how we got so lucky!

@fueast I think it just allowed me to get detail in the shadows without blowing out the sky completely

You lucky person - what a location!! I was just wondering if that was the sea. And you must keep fit with the hills.

@twinsplusone I always dreamed of living by the ocean and we lucked out finding a piece of heaven in 1979. We had 5 kids, little money, and there was no house on the property. I was working as a nurse midwife. The kids and my husband built a pole barn. We lived in it for years with car batteries for electricity, a double headed out house, and heating an outside cast iron tub with a fire under it. Hard to imagine but it sure was worth it!

Boy, does that bring back some memories! The house has changed a lot but my mind sees it the way it was back then. =-)
