Tower at Dawn by jgpittenger

Tower at Dawn

My stalwart husband and I went way up the mountain behind our farm to try to catch the dawn from up where the radio tower is. Unfortunately it is way overgrown since we were last there and the picture I liked the best is of the tower. AFter we got home and before I downloaded, I fell from 4 rungs up on a ladder and landed REALLY hard. I have osteoporosis of the spine so I am hoping no serious damage done but my ability to sit, stand, climb stairs is pretty limited in the moment so this is the best I got for today at least.
Love the background, looks like a mountain. Beautiful shot! I really hope you are ok.

So blue! I like that you can just barely see the mountain. Hope you heal fast!

Oo hope thats not as nasty as it sounds. Like the way the tower disappears into the wispy clouds. Great pov

Sounds like quite a hike and a nasty fall to boot. Hope you are okay. This tower is really high.

Wow! Love the starkness and power of this shot. Great blue in the sky.

I love that blue and mountains or hills in the background!

Oh no that's not good!! You need to find a teenager to go shinning up towers not do it yourself! Lovely mountains in the background - I thin you live inn the perfect place for us - my husband would want the mountains and I would want the sea. BTW The Picnik effects are EASY - you just press the button and fade in and out as required - it's very easy indeed to have a play - you should give it a go before it moves to Google to see if it's worth getting to grips with it in its new location.

Oh, so this is what happened and why you went for x-rays.... I'm hoping no serious damage, too.

@judithg You sure would be welcome to visit! Re picnik, don't you have to be an ace member?

@jgpittenger That's only if you want to link between 365 and Picnik. Picnik (currently) is a stand alone site - I save my edits back to my computer and the upload to Picnik.

I mean then upload to 365 - sorry!

@judithg I tried to down load a photo to picnik and was told the file size was too big. Do you need to shoot JPEG?
January 31st, 2012
I think you may have to convert to jpeg to upload - I've been shooting jpeg and Picnik will definitely take 5MB or so.

Oh, I missed this pic and the story; I wondered how you hurt your back. Glad you're not hurt worse! and I hope you're feeling better.
I like the blues in this pic. Pretty!
