How Much Smoothing Do I Like?

Yesterday a great photographer from my camera club took a few of us out to practice shooting moving water. She had us start with F11 and then keep changing the shutter speed until we got what we liked and then do the same with F13 all the way to F22. It was a fabulous experiment and I learned a ton- my first time with manual exposure. I've been using P, A, S modes until now. This is one of my favorites in the stream
Oh great job! This is lovely without blowing out the whites. I notice you've gone with f/5 but the focus still looks quite deep.

Beautiful shot Jane. How nice that you got such great help. I have been doing similar things but on my own since there is not a camera club near me.

I didn't know you joined a photo club too! Mine is a lot of fun although not as much in terms of learning new things. But I got to participate in a real competition and even have a 2 day spot in a real gallery :) Beautiful shot!

@naladka Good for you. What phot did you hang in the gallery? We have a show in town that our club does that isn't juried. I hung two pictures and learned a lot about presentation ( I didn't like my frame/matting at all. I'd gone for cheap and I got to see how that doesn't work)
