Harriet in B and W

We are working with black and white in Kim Klaussen's class. She suggests portraits as good for b and w, so I pulled out a photo of my dear friend Harriet. we were to have dinner with them last night and I printed this out for her but my stomach virus prevented it

it's a fabulous portrait -she looks liek a lovely character. Blah to stomach virus...mine is lingering but I have returned to near normality - managed to eat at least after 2 days of starvation! Get well soon - make sure you get lots of rest!

I usually increase the contrast on my b&w portraits... it makes them really dramatic. have you tried this?
