We've lived here since 1979 and I have several times been stopped on the road going North to South with the drawbridge being lifted, but I have never before watched it from the side. I was out looking for sunset shots last night and wandered over to the west of the bridge and heard the siren go off that means the bridge is coming up. I got to watch this boat go through. Exciting!
Thanks for sending me here! :-) What a wonderful piece of architecture. I can see why you want to capture it in different lights and seasons. The one in the mist is also lovely. Like Judith said earlier...its like our Tower bridge....a little!
