I went again in search of the green herons. Unfortunately I startled them out of some trees before I even got out of my car. But I walked down towards the pond in hopes they might have flown there. Before I got there, I saw this beauty and grabbed my camera before it too flew off. The grasses are a blur but the eye is in focus hand held. I find it hard to hold my long lens steady.
I just realized this morning I only have 4 more days before I complete my year. So many people do fantastic commemorative shots. I am empty of ideas.
Hello Jane. I have enjoyed looking through your albums. You have such a way with nature shots! My first thought was to have to do something industrial but I noticed you have already been pushed to do that. So I thought I would challenge you to create an abstract shot. Something that relies less on the actual content, and more on colors, lines, shapes, and textures, to produce a visually stimulating image. Hope you enjoy your push.
it's in it's natural surroundings, and that's how it looks, super shot. I recently have been using my Husbands Canon, - a bit larger than my
little Olympus - and the big lens on that is also very heavy to control.
Oh great catch!! I see a few around here but have never got close enough and would end up focussing on the grass not the bird! Only 4 days - wow! My 365th was NOT exciting!
@judithg so glad you said that. I have to work that day and am totally unnispired.I've seen some wonderful ones...Alison's sure comes to mind. It was fabulous. I wouldn't know ow to beging making a video though.

And wow, you are nearly finished!
