Intent

Another attempt at meeting my get pushed challenge from @3dogs4kids to do portraits in black and white. This is my dear husband, Jim, intent on expressing the subtleties of a thought he is having. I think the thing that first bonded us in 1961 was our delight in pondering and talking about everything under the sun

He does seem to be lost in thought... like the double shadow on the wall behind his head.

He is pondering well Jane & I like a good ponderer. Harry is not a ponderer, it's either black or white!!! Great portrait!

Very Nice Jane, I like the effect the border has. I think it helps to add a little more contrast.

Pensive - I think it has a retro feel - reminds me of some sixties photos - obviously he should be surrounded by wreaths of smoke for that era.

@judithg We never got into the 60s drug thing but he did have a big huge dark beard!

Good capture of his expression Nice framing too.

I love it in b&w!

I like the somewhat unruly hair and his attention away from the camera. It all comes together as an informal, candid portrait. Good choice for B&W.

So deep in though! A great photo - it works well in b&w.

You certainly have captured his essence here. Great to be on the same wavelength and converse.
