I was driving home from our motel yesterday morning and saw this beauty high in a tree next to the road. I knew the family was waiting for me but I swung a U turn and pulled over, switched lenses and took some shots. It was hard to get a good angle what with power lines and branches, but I am still pretty pleased with this. I'm not sure what kind of hawk. It looked bigger than a red tail to me. I'd love to hear from the knowledgable birders
Beautiful! I always seem to see them when I'm driving and either don't have a good place to pull over or don't have the time. Thank you for taking the time and sharing, the processing is wonderful.
No idea what it is but the composition is beautiful. So exciting when you spot birds like this! It's good we have patient families like ours... always hanging around whilst we take that one shot ! lol
