Spent all of yesterday over at my office packing up 10 + years of stuff. we got most of it in the trailer but will have to go back for one more load. This is my farewell shot taken with my point and shoot. I spent a lot of good hours here and hopefully did good work with a lot of clients. I am ever so glad to be retired but nevertheless was filled with emotion as we packed it up. On to the next chapter of my life!
Wow, congrats! How exciting. ITs true, you can't do new things without letting go of other things, so its always a bit bitter sweet heading into a new chapter.
I remember retirement day like it was yesterday (14 years ago), and my office friends in San Francisco gave me a parka for a going away gift. Perfect! You will love retirement, Jane, and wonder how you had time to do everything before you retired.
This reminds me a bit of when you move house and most of the things have gone, always a tinge of sadness and so many memories. From my experience it is just a tinge and then we move on. I'm sure you did great work here Jane and I'm sure retirement will be great too.
