Hike in the Woods Blocked By Trees Downed By the Snow and Wind Storm

Cayenne and I went on my favorite hike for the first time since I hurt my back. We stopped by the ancient great grandmother cedar and took a photo of her bark, then hiked up and around past a snag that caught my eye, and then found the trail completely blocked by two huge downed cedars and their root wads. We turned around and you can see Cayenne looking wistfully at me as we have to turn back for home. I thought I'd experiment with doing a collage. I'm thinking the bark was such a different tone that maybe I should have left it off. I'd love any suggestions. I see that you really can't see this unless you enlarge it
Looks like an obstacle course! I haven't tried a collage yet, looks like you are off to a great start!

Great collage - those woods look quiet and peaceful. Great place for a hike

Love that shot of Cayenne with the trees - it would have been scary in there in the storm mind you! I think you're right about the bark - it gets lost a bit but it's lovely seeing the story via collage.

Great collage Jane. It looks like a terrific place to walk and hike. Too bad the storm did that damage to those great trees though.

@debbim I totally agree. It was hard not to cry. On the other hand trees grow a lot like weeds around here
