I've finally begun doing a bit of editing on my vacation shots and figure I will put them in my extras album for a while. This was just before dawn as we drove through Death Valley trying to avoid the heat. I think it is worth enlarging to see the beautiful color of the hills
@webfoot Didn't go to Scotty's castle. What do you like about that? We went through death valley leaving lone pine at 4:30 am to beat the heat. But as we drove through, I knew I need to go back and stay in the middle of it a take photo shoots dawn and dusk from an assortment of spots...clearly not a summer proposition! Remind me when you go?
Spring time is the best, actually anytime from November to March is a good time. Scotty's Castle is similar to Hearst Castle - smaller scale obviously. Amazing how it was built out there.
