Emerald Reflections

I can't figure out why this reflection is so emerald colored. This is SOCC except for crop. This was taken just before sunset.

This does look unusual as the other water is normal...is it a reflection of something perhaps. Gorgeous colours though.

I can guess, which means absolutely nothing. The foreground water is reflecting the sky, so it looks light. The background water is against the darker rock, so less reflection, and you are able to look into the water, which might have a greener bottom.

It's lovely, whatever the reason for it. Perhaps like Ross said, we can only see into the pool where it's in shadow, and maybe there's a green algae growing on the rocks there?

Hawaii, I'm envious. At least I now have the body and lenses I need next time I go to Maui. I just can't afford to go to Maui, cause I just bought this body and these lenses... ah, Irony, you are a cruel mistress.
