One of these days I will get my courage up to take time to compose and "work the shot" when I photograph unknown people. I did ask her permission and clearly her appearance said "notice me", but I didn't dare shoot her from different angles/ positions. A growth edge for me. This was taken at a local farmers market.
Yes, it takes courage for sure! Especially if they think that YOU think that they look a bit out of the ordinary, although a little comment about how her hair, lipstick and dress are all colour co-ordinated might smooth things over. OR you could say that you are a photographer for a website (not a lie at all!). It's a great pic.
That's a really cool photo, I'm glad you worked up the courage to ask her. I go into a bit of a panic mode mentally when faced with that situation, or even last summer when I asked my sister and BIL to pose so I could get some practice. I just couldn't think of any poses for them! So silly.
Oh well done!! I love this type of shot but it terrifies me to do them! It's a great capture. I like the contrast of the colourful bird and the single-toned lady!!
I love this. I have a double yellow-head amazon too, and my aunt has one that was 36 when she inherited it and she has now had it another 40 years and it still looks the same.
