As I said yesterday, my regular camera is having its sensor cleaned. I'm getting to have a great experience seeing what my waterproof Nikon 1 can do. We are finally getting the much needed rain that sounds as if it will be lasting into the foreseeable future. One day I will get the photo I see in my head from this spot on our nearby hiking trail.
Thanks for all your kind words re my retirement. It is good to be retiring to a life that I want from a life that was really good too. There is something about starting the final chapter of one's life that is a bit sobering however especially when you feel really young!
For active people, that "final chapter" could be a long way off. You probably started your final "career" chapter, but there will likely be more "non-career" chapters. At least that is what I've discovered. Your photo shows a gorgeous location. All it needs is Jane-style light.
I am sure you will make the most of your new found freedom
