Must be viewed on black for really seeing this. A couple of years ago I took a fabulous photography class in the Eastern Sierras. One of the things we did was go to a research center (which sadly has since been shut down d/t budget cuts) called Carma where we did star photography. It was my first experience with shooting the night sky and I was hooked. Today in my email I received a free tutorial from Dave Morrow on selective noise reduction for the night sky. I immediately wanted to practice it and I pulled out one of my Carma shots. I like how the noise reduction worked and I thought that the lens flare and the ghost of one of the moving satelight dishes made it a fun kind of surreal shot.

I love this Jane!! I have never seen the milky way and would love to do a photography class which took me to somewhere I could see it!! Sounds like that tutorial was really useful - I am loving the results of your re-edit. The ghosts really make the image - seems like something is "out there"!! LOL!! Fav!
