Hay Bales Water Colour by jgpittenger

Hay Bales Water Colour

I was SO delighted to see my little hummer made it to # 3 spot on the TT. Thanks to you all for taking it there.
I was on my way back from a puppy play date with Pearl and drove by the hay being cut and rolled in a field way South of town. I thought they would be lovely in the golden hour and came back that evening fogetting that the fields are in a valley and the sun was no longer there! So I gave the shot some "seeing to" inTopaz Impressions. I will post two versions and would love to hear your thoughts. I know, any reasonable landscape photographer would have either realized that the sun wouldnt be there any longer in the evening or wouldn't have even gotten her camera out when she saw the light....but I feared they would all be put in the barn if I came back the next day.
Thanks for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs
I love hay bales! This one is lovely in context. Interesting to see how sepia turns this scene into an 'old west' sort of image. Processing is fascinating!
