Tribute To Zumbalom

Early yesterday morning before it was light, Pearl and Cayenne started barking incessantly in the house. We took flashlights and went to try to find out what was up and saw signs of a biggish animal(s) having run through the flower garden and orchard next to the house. Zumbalom hasn't been back since which he has never done before. Our bes (worst) guess is that coyote(s) got him...one of the hazards of country life. I am heart broken. He had such a fun, playful and warm spirit. This photo was taken last summer.
That's a great shot - I hope your fears are ungrounded... (Stu)

Oh no! He's such a beauty. This brings tears to my eyes. I hate it when they disappear and I have to worry and wonder. So sorry.

Oh no what a worry for you Jane! I hope your fears are unfounded. Gosh how scary living where big animals can take your pets! Big hug xxx

Very sad... my Sister's cat got mauled and killed by two roaming dogs earlier in the year and I know how upsetting this was to them ..

Oh Jane, this is so hard to read and imagine. He looks like he was a very happy fellow and hopefully he is somewhere hiding. I'll think good thoughts and hope for the best.
