Years ago I did a training in Seattle and spent many weekends there over a year enjoying the change of seasons. One of my favorite spots there is a botanical garden where they have HUGE magnolia trees of many varieties. My favorite was the star magnolia. We planted a tree at that time and now it too is really really big. And the buds are close to bursting
Isn't it wonderful to have memories attached to plants? The plant in my livingroom was from a family member when my mom passed away in 2007 - we planted two trees along our driveway - one in memory of my dad and one in memory of my husband's dad. They are special. I love that you have a story attached to your Star Magnolia.
