Magnolia in the Rain by jgpittenger

Magnolia in the Rain

I was walking with my friend in Hendricks Park on Thursday night in the pouring rain. I took some photos of this with my waterproof camera but I guess there was water where there shouldn't have been so all were water logged. On the way home last night, I stopped with enough time to make sure the photos came out and got this beauty. It would be better with some light and shadows...but there weren't any and it looks as if it will be a while until we see the sun again.
Great shot, the colours and water droplets are fabulous! :O)

Beautiful with the light as is. Looks like a sea anemone in the middle.

Gorgeous macro! I agree with Judith, looks like an anemone in the middle! And the petals are snow white!!! Beautiful!

A very unusual shot of a magnolia but the center deserves to be high lighted, it is very beautiful, almost like a sea anemone !
