It was pretty windy so the macro here wasn't as crisp as I wouId have liked.
I had a hard day driving up and back from Portland where I took my beloved cello and left it with my fabulous teacher of almost 15 years to sell it. It was bittersweet and I found myself in tears when I got back to ,y car...a phase of my life passed through never to return. I decided to stop at a tulip farm on my way home to cheer myself up. The sign said it was going to close in 35 minutes when I finally found it so I rushed off from the parking area without filters so some of the shots really would have been better with the help of a graduated filter. Ah well.
The tulips are beautiful and I love the sea of them reaching into the distance. I sympathise about the cello - I can't bear to part with my guitar even though I haven't played properly for years
Oh Jane I am so sorry, amazing how one gets so attached to an instrument but when you think of the hours of practice & your life in years learning it is bound to be bereavement.
On the happy tulips.... a sea of cheerful colour, beautiful!!!
Great focus changes in there and such bright colors!
Deciding to sell it sounds like the right thing if you're never playing it, although a painful decision. I'm sure it will be well-loved by its next owner!
