I'm posting this more for ideas from birders re what kind of swallow it is. I think it must be a "drab adult" violet green swallow but it was so dark and dreary it was hard to tell.
The shot I really wanted to post today was the one I saw in my head of the super full moon rising behind the Cascade Mountains or perhaps setting into the ocean, but we have rain and thick cloud cover so that idea got discarded.
My knowledge of birds is severely lacking but I know a good shot of one when I see it, and this is one. I love the composition and the clear background. We have had rain, thunder, and black clouds all day here so no moon sightings here either.
