For the past two weeks my get-pushed partners have been in absentia. I love the focus a challenge brings to my project so I asked my mentor for a challenge. "Talking about perspective/PoV - my challenge to you will enhance your understanding of how these two work together... and improve your agility! I want you to explore "What Tom Thumb saw in the park"! You'll need to get down and dirty and experiment with different focal lengths and apertures (and hence DoF) for each scene that you capture." Down and dirty doesn't work too good on a work day wearing pale tan slacks. But I did the best I could using a stool I brought for photo taking in the wild. I got hung up on this mushroom. Not happy with the dof on the mushroom itself. May post something else from today tomorrow.
love the pov but i might have got rid of the car on the right side. I have often wanted to do something like this but getting down and then getting up again are beyond me anymore.
We each have our own way of seeing things Joan, but if this is to represent Tom Thumb's world, I would have had the toadstool and foreground grass in sharp focus and the background out of focus (so yes a wider aperture) so that the human world was only suggested.
@vignouse I actually was trying to do that but not being able to get on the ground I was having a hard trouble seeing where my focus was. That is why I want to try again. But wearing a dress today so don't know how that will work. LOL
@vignouse Oh, thanks that is the best hint I've had lately for accommodation. Only we have pay per for trash bags but I have a plastic cloth I can use.
