My challenge was to take a night story. I asked my mentor for an idea and I apologize that I haven't had a chance to do that but I am going to follow through. But when I went to the beach on Wednesday I got another idea in my head. So tonight along with my nephew I headed to Old Orchard beach. There is an amusement park at this beach. One I went to as a child but have not visited in many years. I think I got several good shots but I particularly love this one. Unfortunately I cannot find the list for week 108 and cannot find the persons name. Hope someone can help me.
There's lots I don't like about this image, Joan especially the framing, but what I do like is that you imagined the shot, planned it and then went and shot it using very appropriate camera settings. This is what Get Pushed is really about and you deserve your 9 Favs - I'm going to give you one more which I hope will be enough to take you to PP... a fitting reward for your efforts.
@vignouse I get (I think) what you mean about the framing but it was in a building so I am essentially shooting through a doorway (a wide door way) The top of the door way cuts me off. You can see what I mean by looking in the back on the right. If I stepped in I don't believe I could have caught it as well. But would love to go again next year and give it another try. Email me about your suggestions of framing and I will put in my mentor file.
nice one! On a different note, I have some blueberries and was thinking about photographing them for your Maine day. What I mostly remember about Maine is the endless pine woods, so maybe I'll give that a shot.
@linc That's interesting to learn about you. I do remember when the main tourists were French Canadians. Now he crowd was decidedly internationally mixed. I loved it.
