Bird watching by joansmor

Bird watching

@myhrhelper challenged me to use mirror or reflections in a picture. So I used a mirror and put it in the window where Two and I sit to bird watch. I hope you like this fun shot. Also took a new avatar using the mirror in the window.
HAPPY VALENTINES every one snuggle close to your loved one. And to all my New England friends stay warm and safe.
Fabulous shot.

Yes, fabulous shot, Joan! So was the mirror outside?
February 14th, 2015
Priceless, easy fav :) Two friends watching the birdies.
February 14th, 2015
@kerfree No, sitting on the window sill so that is why Two is looking to the side to see the birds.

You have one big kitty! I have one that looks just like him. How many lbs is yours?

February 14th, 2015
@myhrhelper Here is my response to your challenge. Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed yours.
February 14th, 2015
@dianen 6.5 lbs
February 14th, 2015
I like it, both of you. My cats are running away (most of the time) when I have a camera in my hand :)
February 14th, 2015
That's it? He looks so much bigger...my guy is 20 lbs!
February 14th, 2015
Wow nice job and what a beautiful cat too!
February 14th, 2015
Cute shot of the two of you.
February 14th, 2015
Wonderful idea to respond to the challenge. Great capture. Happy Valentine's day.
February 15th, 2015
Just love this! What a wonderful selfie captured with your beautiful kitty!

Great idea, lovely capture.
February 15th, 2015
So sweet!
February 15th, 2015
Great selfie
February 15th, 2015
This is a great fun image Joan - the pair of you look very contented together. Not so keen on the new avatar because we can't see your face... and it's not as if you're camera shy, like some on here!
February 15th, 2015
This is a great shot, and a huge cat!
February 15th, 2015
Love everything about this shot - huge fav!
February 15th, 2015
very cool ... big, gorgeous cat
February 15th, 2015
Fun shot Joan!! I love how Two is focused on the birds and you're focused on the shot.
February 15th, 2015
Oh...this is very cool. I love it ...of both of you! Another storm? Sure hope you get some relief soon. Makes me feel a bit guilty about out beautiful weather here!! (well, just a little maybe!) :)
February 15th, 2015
Awww, I love this Joan and I love your new avatar!
February 15th, 2015
This is great. Fantastic response to your challenge
February 15th, 2015
@vignouse But I wanted people to recognize me on the outside. lol New me may be revealed when I lose the weight I am attempting to lose. Do you can nag me about doing exercise (today - shoveling) and eating healthy.
February 15th, 2015
@888rachel Not sur why she looks big. Weighs only 6.5 pounds.
February 15th, 2015
Cute selfie.
February 15th, 2015
Great shot!!! very creative selfie you did
February 15th, 2015
So cute, how you're sitting at the window together. Two certainly does look bigger! Very imaginative photo and I do like your new avatar. Good luck with the diet!
February 15th, 2015
@joansmor You're not the only one on a diet - I've lost 6 kgs and I have another 6 to lose... 10 more would be better, but at 70 years old you've got to be realistic. Lent starts Wednesday so that will help.

I think Two looks bigger than she is because she's actually much nearer the camera than you are.
February 15th, 2015
Excellent shot.. fav
February 15th, 2015
@joansmor Great shot Joan. As your get pushed challenge partner I am asking you to take a shot of unusual or exceptionally beautiful cloud formation
February 15th, 2015
@mumswaby If we get there I will.
February 15th, 2015
@vignouse Thanks for that explanation. I have lost 5 pounds need to loss 30 more and then maybe 20 more. Two was very upset at people thinking she was a big cat. I have been watching her weight as she had been gaining steady. She's not happy dieting and then this. LOL
February 15th, 2015
I like it! Well done!
February 15th, 2015
@joansmor Two is pretty no matter her size, so she shouldn't worry. Maybe someday she'll catch one of those birds! :)
February 15th, 2015
I love this! I suspect you had two totally different motivations for the 'watch'. I like the new avatar.
February 15th, 2015
Excellent new avatar, although you know I loved that last one, too! This is really cool and very well done!
February 16th, 2015
Great idea!!!!
Love the bird watchers!
February 16th, 2015
I like the balance between the two of your. Hope you're still tucked away cozily ... with power. We're to get a few inches tonight. I'm sure that our New England friends would laugh at all the hatch-battening that will be going on. But hey. On Saturday evening we got a sudden quarter inch and cars were EVERYWHERE in the ditches.
February 16th, 2015
@francoise Believe it or not that happens here. The more the snow the more people stay home and the less snow the more people fly around.
February 16th, 2015
I'm curious - is this image an actual reflection?
February 16th, 2015
@myhrhelper I stuck a square flat mirror in the window. And took a picture of what it would look like if we were actually looking out the window. So yes it is actual reflection.
February 16th, 2015
That is what I thought, very well done no mirror glare
February 16th, 2015
@myhrhelper No Flash!
February 16th, 2015
Very creative. Still figuring how you placed the mirror. Super idea and well executed.
February 17th, 2015
Great shot!
February 20th, 2015
What a great team fav .
February 20th, 2015
Very creative! Love your use of the mirror and the inclusion of Two.
