The squirrel proof feeder at work. by joansmor

The squirrel proof feeder at work.

Now you might think I made this title with tongue in cheek, but no. See I missed the next picture as he quickly fell to the snow below and crawled off with his tail between his legs (okay that last bit might be a bit of exaggeration). But I watched as he tried quite unsuccessfully to break into both feeders. Being greedy and not satisfied with the ones I threw on the ground for him.
Great capture! I like the falling snow.

What is it called and where did you get it? (o: !! Mine (which is semi-squirrel proof) is developing a small rust whole on the bottom and will need to be replaced soon. Love this!!

@kwind If you check it out the snow is falling off him. We lucked out and the big storm well it wasn't so big only 6 inches.

Excellent Joan - beautifully crisp and sharp... although I can't help feeling a bit sorry for the poor little chap!

@olivetreeann I brought it at the Wild Birds Unlimited store and the guy there helped me understand how to set it up because I have trees in my yard. http://shop.wbu.com/c/squirrel-proof-bird-feeders

@jborrases It is fun to sit at the window and watch their antics.

Don't worry he'll be back with the manual in hand to try and break in. I saw one of my squirrels hanging from the underside sucking the seeds out of the sq proof feeder. LOL

@kathiecb Won't work here because his weight on the bottom closes all the openings. He's been trying since I hung it up this summer and no success.

ANother great capture! Love those squirrels. Charlies will be so happy to see his when we get home. They are probably not around ..but as soon as they know we are home it won't take long. Charlie runs to the back door as soon as we get home to see if they are there! Wish I could get some shots as cute as this!
