The birds were plentiful yesterday at the feeder. They included several different species, including this gold finch. Today I went to Wild Birds Unlimited because I wanted some advice and some peanuts for the squirrels. I took several prints of the birds at the feeder and they are going to display some of them in the store. WhooWhoo.
What a fabulous clear shot...love the detail and color...he is giving you quite the look Joan!! Very cool that your shots are going to be on display for (this?) feeder? Wonderful Joan. Way to go!!
@olivetreeann You have to place it where the squirrels can't pull it down or off the hook. I have one of their systems for a pole that the hook makes it difficult to take off. I'll take a picture of my whole set up so you can see.
Wow, that is amazing that they are going to display some of your photos. They have NICE stuff there. This photo is beautiful. You may motivate me to start feeding the birds again. I had to stop because we have an attack Cardinal that refuses to give up on attacking the windows!!
The snow at least has the merit that it creates a natural backdrop and lets the birds really standout. I'm not surprised that the store is going to use your photos because they show perfectly how the feeder works... well done you!
@vignouse I have been noticing that about the snow. I know you would have cropped that blue out but I liked it (probably because it's my favorite color). Now I have to get the Bluejay that was out there yesterday.
@joansmor You're right, I think the blue is intrusive but I wasn't going to mention it! I wouldn't have cropped it out because that would have left the feeder looking unbalanaced - I would have taken it out with the clone-stamp tool in PS CC... after all, there is plenty of uniform snow to act as source material.
