What a fun day I had watching the wild life outside my kitchen window. One thing I learned is that one square rules the yard. After I threw out the peanuts he was quickly there sitting in them and eating his fill. The bluejays sat in the tree just hoping he would leave a few for them and another squirrel wanted peanuts so bad but he didn't dare come up to "king" so he jumped and found a peanut dashing quickly off. I ended up throwing peanut way over to my nieces drive and the bluejays got a few. I have brought corn cobs for the squirrels and corn for the bluejays which they seem to like.

It is interesting to see how the squirrels and birds react to one another. A flock of turkeys has been coming around here lately. No one bothers them!! Great shot here- nicely detailed right down to his little claws wrapped around the tree branch.
