Country shed

First I apologize if I lead anyone to believe that I collect sap and cook it down. No thanks, I'll buy mine from the guys who do.

Now please help me decide. I have been trying bracketing and then using the Merge to HDR in PS. But not overly thrilled with the result. So last night I downloaded the free version of Fusion and I am happy with the results. The past three days pictures were all done with bracketing using PS and todays is bracketing with Fusion. When I compare the results side by side Fusion wins every time. But what do you think and what do you use that won't cost a fortune.
@ribbet9 Second picture this week that had me thinking of your project.

Sorry Joan but I can't help you with your question since I don't use either one and have no idea what any of them do. Your picture is fantastic though whatever you did!

I love the contrasting colors and processing Joan.
I've only merged in PS.

I've not done bracketing/HDR stuff - you are trying some advanced stuff there!! I like all of the photos and this one the best for the color range. Hard to say if it's the setting or the software. Did you try merging in PS and then comparing the two? This is a great photo, interesting subject. Love the red door.

@kt8ird I'll email you the other one and you can see for yourself.

Joan I have never merged any shots so I'm no help I use strictly Lightroom. I hope to branch out soon and do some merging. Honestly I don't know where to start in PS. But this image is brilliant, very nice job! fav

Sorry that I could not help, I don't use Merge or Fusion :(

Lovely composition. I like the colours and textures.

I've never tried anything like this so can't help Joan, but I love the picture

@joansmor @franklein @kt8ird Like Kate, I would like to do a side-by-side comparison between PS Merge to HDR and Fusion (which I've never tried). Those who do a lot of HDR swear by Photomatix - there's a 'light' version and a 'pro' version and even the pro version is not that expensive. You can download a full trial version which doesn't have an expiry date but does include a watermark.

The good news for all us Lightroom users is that LR6 (due out in April) will have a merge to HDR option which said by beta testers to be much better than that in PS.

Oh, and as an image... I like this just fine.

Beautiful shot. I think that @taffy is the queen of multiple exposures. I'm sure she will be able to help as well.

Echoing others, above, I like this shot very much. The color range and tonality are nice. It would help to see the side by side comparison, though. I have not done any HDR work yet, so I can't help on the technical side. I do have LR, so the news that a "merge to HDR" feature is on the way brings a smile to my face. :)

I really like this! I think the HDR is very natural. I use Photomatix for mine.

Nice colours Joan but what is that white stuff there?.

A great find - well captured!

Wonderful! Feels like home ;-)

Oh, Joan, I really love the look of this. It looks as though it's a slide. Very 3d.....Thumbs up! :)
