Ram Island Light by joansmor

Ram Island Light

In yesterday's photo you saw a lighthouse in the distant. This is that lighthouse. I took this picture this summer. I am so busy with year end stuff for the accountants that I like energy to take creative photos. So it seemed a good time to post this picture as a partner to yesterday's pic. I didn't like that the original was just too blue but it converted nicely I thought to bw. OPPS Just noticed this is the end of my second year. Probably not how I wanted to end it but hey it is what it is.
This suits the b&w treatment perfectly! I like how the lighthouse is virtually in the water.

Happy two year anniversary! It is a lovely photo. We have a different year - June - it's always a busy fall! Hope you are well!!

@kt8ird Have missed you.

This is a good subject for black and white- the broken pier (??) and bricks of the lighthouse are a good subject to put into that genre because of their disrepair and texture. Congratulations on finishing year #2! I'll be starting year 6 in Jan. Where did the time go?

@joansmor XOXO! You, too!! It's been a rough late summer and fall. :)

Such grittiness to your textures here. And end of second year??? Congrats! Stick around for year three, ok?

I agree, a grittiness that really suits the subject and shows up all the different textures as well as the strong form of the lighthouse and pier. Congrats on completing your second year :)

You could have done worse than ending year two with one of your favourite subjects, Joan. Congratulations... it's been fun sharing most of the journey with you.
