No. One Pond again. by joansmor

No. One Pond again.

I haven't taken many pictures this week so when I headed to the grocery store I grabbed my camera so I could take a couple of shots at the pond. My friends on WW asked for a color shot. Sorry not much color out there right now.
oh my - you have winter! there's a nice bleakness to this

Enough color for a beautiful winter photo ;) And, it looks better on black indeed!

That is just beautiful.

I feel cold just looking at it! Atmospheric.

Fantastic winter scene

Love the composition.

Great winter shot. It's 50 here! Doesn't feel much like winter.

This is oddly compelling but. I can't really articulate why... part of it is the restricted colour palette I think. I find myself asking what this would have been like with the lens opened up three stops to throw the background buildings out of focus? Despite that, it's a Fav as is.

The scene seems mystical and beautiful to me!

It's truly beautiful.

Hi Joan, this is such a lovely photograph. I'm your get pushed partner for this week. You take some lovely photos and you're right you are an landscape photographer at heart. I would like to challenge you to do a street photography shot - a candid shot with humans! I hope you like this challenge and I look forward to yours.

Great scene Joan. Looks dreamy in a way. Nice processing.

haha -- so colorful because there is brown grass??? It's oddly serene looking for being so cold looking.
January 10th, 2016
But it's still beautiful Joan. I'm loving all the snowy scenes!

A lovely wintery scene Love the almost painterly effect. The texture of the grass looks great against all that soft fluffy snow.

Love the space - looks cold

@vignouse If I get a chance I will try. Actually this is processed in color efex add a brightness to the middle that I liked. It wasn't snowing hardly at all but there was almost a fog in the air. I was rushing because of the snow. But it's early so I think I'll get a chance to try again but will that pop of color get buried. And will the water totally freeze over and I loss the gray. I am thinking it will work best in a spring storm.

I love the coloring in this. It's like a black and white with just those touches of color.

Oh that looks so cold, I can feel it! Lovely wintery scene.

Terrific :)

It's certainly a wintery shot. I'm glad we haven't had much winter here yet, but I've been told it's on its way. Pretty.
