Looking lonely

This is in the parking lot of Short Sands beach and has been in my project before. This is from my tablet and so not processed in Nik. But I seem to have a bw theme going this week. Your support has I played with Silver Efex has been wonderful.
Tourists went south for the winter? Lovely, Joan...and you've got the place to yourself!

I think that's so funny that you downloaded that same program. It's like we are on the same wavelength!! Scary!! I have not been able to play with it much. Going to try to look at it now while the kiddos are still in bed. Or pretending to be while actually watching TV on their phones.

Wonderful in B&W!

The tablet has done a perfectly competent job with this Joan... some subjects are strong enough to stand alone.

@vignouse I keep trying this subject and never being totally happy with it. Oh well, that just gives me a chance to try again.

@joansmor If you want the lighthouse itself to stand out you might try the widest aperture you have to throw the back ground out of focus; if you can get far enough away with a clear view, use your 70-300mm at the longest focal length you can manage and wide open. See if you like that any better.

@vignouse I'd have to do that in winter that parking lot is full in summer but if I get a chance I will try it. Thanks.

This works so well in black and white.

The black and white really brings out the texture of the bricks. Nice shot!
