Band Stand by joansmor

Band Stand

This band stand has appeared in my project before but I don't think ever in bw. I seem to be doing a lot of bw lately (an influence of @vignouse I suspect). This was built by Goodall who owned most of the mills back in the day and the workers did enjoy band concerts and picnics here. More often now it is a place for weddings or wedding photos.

I took three bracketed shots, ran them through Fussion, then into Silver Efex, straightened out in Lightroom and then into PS to remove some ugly lights. Phew Dang the shadows of what I removed are noticeable. Have to fix that on my copy.
the BW works very well with this image, especially on the black background. Well done.

My shoulders are broad - you can blame it all on me! Actually, there's no blame to be attributed - you've done a great job with this.

Fabulous!! love the processing - so right in mono.. beautifully captured. i especially like that the ceiling of the bandstand shows so much detail.. loving the stonework and that gorgeous sky.. i really like that the foreground has it's own interest in the textures of the tracks..
