I have seen several Split Tone pictures and wanted to give it a try. Always love trying new things. This is Perkins Cove from a vantage point I can only take advantage of in the winter when the motel whose parking lot I was in is closed.
obviously i have no idea of the settings used but i detect a darkish green/blue type of colour in the shadows and a soft lilac in the highlights - maybe i need to re-calibrate the monitor.. whichever hues you used it looks good..
@jorlam You are very perceptive as that is what I used in the color balance adjustment layer. Wanted it to be cool as it was very that morning and to represent the ocean too.
I'm not sure what split-tone is but you are inspiring me to find out. The blue tones and the tonal range work really well. And I like how the three stages of foreground, mid-ground and background are so well defined...lovely composition.
Hi Joan! We are partners for the upcoming week for Get-Pushed-Challenge. I would like to challenge you to create an image that also incorporates someone else's art in it as a main or as a supporting subject. Let me know if this won't work for you and I can come up with something else. Looking forward to your challenge for me!
Most impwessive.* Although I wouldn't have the first idea of how to achieve this, am pleased that your experimentation and dabbling gives you...and your growing number of followers...so much well deserved pleasure. Rock on!
