The end of the line

Well not really because it goes to the boiler to be cooked down. See https://365project.org/joansmor/365/2017-03-31 You can see the shading where the sap is gathering at the very bottom.

I am so excited. I am going to visit @shesnapped in Maryland this Spring. Well it will still be spring in Me but getting into summer I suspect in MD.
Oh I know it will be delicious! I’ve never had fresh maple syrup, if it’s like most fresh things it will be better than anything store bought!

This has been a great series! I feel like I'm now in the 21st century in knowing what to expect on a maple tree farm.

I love seeing how that tubing travels so far - neat that you can see it accumulating. No wonder that syrup isn't cheap - that's quite a job! Isn't it fun to look forward to a trip!

It's an interesting process. So much tapping required for what actually becomes the end product.

I wonder how long it takes to fill the container.
Hope you have a great trip. Do your seasons change at different times? Ours are all exactly 3 months and change on the first of the month (1st June, 1st March, etc.)

Looks very much like the Maple Syrup "farms" around here. Nothing better than the real thing! If you're driving through Pennsylvania via I-84 to MD let me know- you'll probably be close by and we could meet!
