A few mentioned plastic covered hay when I posted my hay bales the other day. I took a picture of some the same day. But the picture is a bit of a fail as the camera focused on the grasses in front. But I like how the out of focus look of the white bales looks like marshmallow when it is toasting before it turn color but is swollen and soft looking. Thus my title.
I had to laugh when reading your explanation because many years ago I'd taken a picture of a field in Vt. near my father's home that was dotted with those white plastic bales of hay. When my sister in law saw it she asked what they were and I told her they were how marshmallows were grown. After harvesting they would be cut down to the size we buy them in the grocery store- she believed me!!! So why not a marshmallow river too? I like the focus on the grass too- it makes the bales look more interesting than if they'd been in focus.
That’s very clever. They could also be alien pods? We had a barn catch on fire due to wet hay. It was completely destroyed. Smart using plastic covers.
Your focus works well to make it look like a river.
