I brought these flowers at the grocery store and used the old Corningware coffee pot for a vase. I use this pot to water my flowers and fill up the birdbath. They certainly brightened up my deck. The weather was on the cool side. If this is any indication of the way things are going, that is the last meal on the deck. The hummingbird came by a couple of times and fed from the feeder or sat on the metal leaf. That is until I got my camera out and then it was gone — cheese and crackers for an appetizer. An apple and romaine said with rosemary-garlic sourcream dressing. Then I served smoked bone-in chops with a soy sauce-olive oil marinade. Also corn on the cob. A very yummy meal. I don't cook a lot, so these meals on the deck or porch are good chances to keep my hand in cooking. The next one will be on the enclosed porch for a bit of warmth.
Such beautiful colors. My goodness I haven’t seen a Corning Ware coffee pot in so long. I love the flowers, so bright and pretty! Your dinner sounds so good!
