This was taken the same day as the hummingbird moth and what I was originally trying to get when the moth photo bombed the shot. So do I have my must have bee shot or hoverfly. Posting now because my mentor and @jborrases where helping and wanted to show I have a little ability if the dang thing lands. LOL
@joansmor Mentors don't teach - they help you to discover your own inate ability: a mentor can't bring out that which wasn't already there! This is good with nice crisp focus and you used a focal length of 105mm (157.5mm effective length with your APS-C sensor) - far more appropriate for this type of shot than the 22mm you used yesterday on the moth shot.
@vignouse It may be that I was just trying to get the flowers as they looked in the garden and when I zoomed in I found the moth. Wish I could remember. This sometimers problem gets in my way. (caregiver's joke)
Is it on Lavender? I walk past bees on some lovely purple thorny plants all week and intend to get some pics next week if I remember, I don't know if I will be able to get us much detail as this but will try.
