12-28-14 extra

I had done a version of the mills in bw before my mentor and I discussed it, but I preferred the color version. I have loved the bw my mentor @vignouse has posted and the ones another mentor @taffy had done too. So maybe I was a little intimidated in my mind. Now I've followed most of you enough to know that happens to a lot of you too. So which do you prefer.
Color version here http://365project.org/joansmor/365/2014-12-28
this is as beautiful as the colour version Joan - I love both

I really like this shot. It looks fantastic. Great processing too. I can see why you would be intimidated, @vignouse and @taffy are both amazing. I certainly think you held your own here.

Well done Joan - thanks for posting this... and I do indeed prefer it in B&W: the combination of lines and angles just seem made for an interpretive treatment rather than a representative one.

I like the b&w one. It gives it a sort of edge.

@karlow75 Thanks for understanding.

@vignouse Maybe it is my love or red brick that gets in my way here.

Very nice processing, and b&w gives it a really industrial feel.

for all that I just LOVE color, this one is awesome!

Wow, I so like this processing Joan!

Love the lines in b&w.

Both are great shots. I think the b/w has a more gritty, industrial feel. Well done.

I do like the colored shot it gives me a better feel for the building but this b&w isn't bad either....

Nice, but I also prefer the colored version with the nice old look feeling. Just missing some strong contrasts here.

Having seen the colour one too I like the black and white better Joan. Suits the building I think
