I got to stand right at the fence were the came off the curve. I can tell you before you tell me I have a lot to learn photographing a horse race. But I thought for my first attempt this one wasn't bad. It was fun. Now the work begins. Will be happy for your thoughts
This is fantastic, you captured the action perfectly. We have the spring racing carnival here soon, it is a big event. We even have a public holiday for the main race, the Melbourne Cup. I'm hoping to go there and get some shots of the horses and the fashion.
I like the way you've caught all four of the foreground horses airborne. I think I would probably have cropped in on this four... and a slower shutter speed together with your pan would have given you some background blur. Very competent image though.
