Joan, all the presets in Silver Efex are created using the adjustments available on the default screen... I only ever use this screen now - the presets rarely give me exactly what I'm looking to achieve.

There are videos on you tube I have watched a few. It is my favorite for BW. I started using the presets and have moved to starting with them and then tweaking,
