Sirens by joysabin

Sirens

This piece of urban art, in an alley or course, grabbed my attention. As I was composing a car almost ran me down because nobody sticks around in alleys-except for us crazy photographers. No damage done but I need to be more aware of the 'other' guy.
really interesting photo! And watch out for those pesky cars.

Brilliant shot

Glad you survived and have a nice shot to show for it. I pass up a lot of shots I'd like to take because I can't figure out a way to get off the road safely to take them. One of the downsides of going everywhere by car. You get to see a lot but often not to photograph it.

@lsquared Thank you- This city has a lot of art hidden away- I think that it might be a mission to find it.
@pasttheirprime Thank you, I need to (begin again) compose in B&W. I forgot how much fun it is to think in contrasts.
@gardencat Appreciate it a great deal. I am finally feeling like I need to walk the alleys and look for the less touristy things.
@gardencat I totally agree with you about stopping to get a shot. Downtown Flagstaff is a parking nightmare- no different really than any other city - I guess that I need to work on my frustration point for finding a spot. Why they can't have a dedicated spot for me is beyond me at times :)
@susale Thank you very much, there is a cross culture here in Flagstaff- the hippies and the conformists against the newer hip ones but, we all fight city hall.
@graemestevens Thank you, alleys are fairly interesting places -at least in the day time-

Fabulous mural. I like the little boy. I wonder what the symbolism of the horn is.
Great capture, and thank goddess you survived!

Well spotted, and the gritty black and white really suits it too.

Great textures and it looks great in b&w

@rieva Thank you.
@octogenarian Really appreciate the fav. I liked his glazed over look-not sure about the horn. @maskerade Thank you, glad that I was set for B&W that day.

@sketch2 Thank you so much for the fav. Street art often lends itself to B&W.

@elytra Thank you, I could spend days just shooting downtown but then there are too many bars there.

@stephanies I apologize greatly for not responding to your comment until now- I have no excuse but an very grateful that you liked this and I only wonder down alleys that have light at both ends.

@frappa77 Alley art here in Flag (locals call it that) is in so many areas. I am still exploring downtown and just found another one a couple of days ago. My adventure continues.
