crumbling away

The Hotel Beale in Historic Kingman Az now abandoned was named for Lt. Beale who forged a trail/road through the southwest with camels in the 1850's. Unfortunately the camels did not respond to commands in English. The trail that he forged became the National Old Trails Highway which then became the template for Route 66.

I am hopeful that maybe someday Kingman will find a way to make its historic section a viable tourist destination.

@northy Thank you, downtown Kingman was fun to explore, wish I could have gotten inside a few of the shuttered places.

@izzyromilly Thanks, me too. Not sure if it is just the plaster chipping away or it happened when the building was torn down?

@frappa77 I used paint.net as the edit software. It is free and I find it much easier to understand and use than photoshop.
