This morning, I listening to and watching hail fall while also seeing sunshine. Strange way to start a day but that's what I got. I needed to stake a break from lensbaby month and do some analysis on what I've learned so far about it. If all goes well, that I will be back at the blur tomorrow.
I have been fascinated with these grasses since I moved here. The way they catch the available light and just flow in the the wind.
Taken at the golden hour- just sat down in the dirt and took my shot.
@stephanies Thank you so much for the fav. I think that I finally got what I wanted. I've tried to shoot these for 3 years and now with my phone- no less - it worked. :) @frappa77 Thank you so much for the fav. These grasses are wild here at least I think, gotta check on that. Shot at golden hour and got really lucky. @domenicododaro Thank you a great deal for the fav. The sun was about 10 minutes before setting so I sat down in the dirt and shot. :) @octogenarian Thank you for the fav. I needed to take a color break so used my phone and it worked. :) @jack4john Thank you, I usually walk in the morning but it was very nice last night and took the sunset tour of unfinished development. @graemestevens I am truly grateful for the fav. I needed a color break but loving the dark side and going to go back. @maskerade Thanks, golden hour isn't a myth- I knew that but walk mostly in the morning. @francoise Thank you so very much for the fav. I saw my grasses at sunset and just got lucky to have my phone with me so, snapped a couple. Gotta trust/thank my phone more. @pasttheirprime Wow, thank you, The light at sunset is just luscious at times even in b&w. @jeffinvt Thank you. I knew I had to sit down to work with the setting sun but it was getting up that wasn't fun. @rieva Thank you a great deal. @lsquared I am grateful for the fav. These grasses are amazing in their reflectiveness. Of course the setting sun really helped too.
@jerome Thank you so much for the fav! The golden hour was working with me and my phone last night, tonight when I went back with the 'real' camera, it was too late so I guess that I just got lucky.
@susale Thank you, the simple things are often the best. @chard Thank you, I think that I need to sit down in the dirt more often. Its the angle that works the best. @chirikova Thank you very much for the following and I truly appreciate that you liked this.
@megpicatilly I am so grateful for the fav! Flagstaff does wind well and a lot. These grasses have fascinated me for awhile. Things just came together for this shot. @paulmann Thank you, they almost dance in the wind. The sun setting and the wind was not too bad. @cjphoto Thank you, I usually see these in the morning since that is when I walk but now I am going to have to take a few walks in the golden hour.
@davejf Thank you, truly appreciate the fav. I just may do a canvas wrap since it would give texture to the grasses. @nydelignorsk Wow, your fav is greatly appreciated. It is a phone shot and I am surprised it worked as well as it did. Things just worked on this one. @dishaparekh176 I am very grateful for the fav. I don't usually use my phone for shots but that's all I had then but things just came together for this one.
@lizhammond Thank you but please don't talk about missing things, I do all the time. It amazed me that this cell phone shot worked as well as it did. I must have done something right and praised the Photo Gods properly.
